I could swear that I have seen someone install oil filter bolt from another ford vehicle on 3.9. I would like to add an air cooled oil cooler and no one makes a 1"-12 adapters. I have tried to find the thread without success. I have noticed when viewing pictures that the filter threads appear to be different from threads that go into the oil filter mount. Thanks.

Are you asking about an alternate for XW4Z-6894-AA, or an alternate for XW4Z-6L626-BA ? Either way, I don't know of one, but maybe someone else does if you can point out which one. Would you be doing this in addition to the stock oil-to-water cooler, or instead of it?
Sorry, I have been up for too long. Whatever 6L626 for a vehicle without stock oil cooler. The point would be to help the stock cooling system instead of adding to its load. I cris-cross the country and I tow a trailer with 20K+ of towing so far. I would like to keep the oil temp around 200 to 220F. Thanks.
