I need help determining if my air bags are in working order.
I have a '90 Continental which I bought used.
When I bought it the air bag light would blink when I started the car (doing a check of sorts I assume) then it would go out and stay out.
It quit working and a Lincoln dealer told me the air bag control module was bad. The computer would beep when I started the car and quit after a minute or two. Sometimes it would beep after I had been driving a while. The dealer said that was why the computer beeped, because of a faulty control module.
I had the module replaced; no more beeping. But, also no more blinking light. I am concerned that I might still have a problem.
What is the best way to see if the bags will work (outside of crashing into a tree)?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
