So the message center reads;
AC Filter Change Required
0% Reset for New

I've changed the filter, I start the car and touch reset, it displays the average MPG. The next time I start the car...

I do it with the car off and key on...The OM states to push the status button and then reset, I do it while scrolling through "Status"... It immediatly displays "Engine Temp OK".

Should not be so difficult...

thanks for correcting me mr. gr lol.

Its not really difficult, once you've done it once successfully :|

I do not know which is more frustrating...
Doing the correct procedure almost a dozen times without the anticipated results, or...

Having someone tell you how to do what you are already doing and then it works...

At least the frustration is much shorter lived with option #2, Thanks for bringing me back to earth joegr

Where is the cabin filter located? Is it in the glove box or under the plastic piece on top of the engine by the wipers?

Oh great, now see, this is how knowledge is passed on,
I had this error and after removing the Cabin Filter and
realizing the filter itself, was not seated correctly,
as well, not even dirty, looked like someone had
been in there already.

I could not get it to reset, even as the OM said.
by reading this, I learned, you have to hit the "reset"
quickly twice in a row, when AC filter comes up.
it then goes in to the "reset for new" option
and stays there. I simply held the reset in
and it went 100%.

thank you so much.

now ... the seat belt minder disable routine programming.
(also in the OM)

Joined this forum just for that answer, thanks; stupid reset was driving me nuts.

LOL! that's a little sad. At least stick around to learn some things!

i've been meaning to change mine, i just keep resetting it eveytime it pops up. i guess ill get to it now.
