AC compressor locked up

2000 LS V8 sport

so the ac compressor locked up. took the clutch out with it obviously.
looking for a motorcraft replacement, and i'm seeing at least 2 part numbers.
mostly, YCC301 and YC2479.

what's the difference?

Did you Google it? My initial thought is that one superceded the other if they are gen 1 specific? Did the compressor change for gen 2?

yeah, that's it. took me awhile to dig through google's results, but www.fordpartsgiant.com says YCC301 replaced YC2479.

so YCC301 it is.
