94 Lincoln Mark VIII - 2" Tweeters

So, working on upgrading my sound system. how much modification does it take to get a 1" tweeter into the doors where the factory 2"s are?


and i think i am going to delete the rear 2" tweeters all together, and just put in some nice 2 way 6x8s (Looking like either Infinity or Boston Acoustics)

You can use 6.5" rounds to get better sound. They make a filler plate that you use to mount the rounds ... I've done this on my 94 and I like them a lot.

I drove Infinity speakers in my 94.

So, i put some speakers in from the junkyard in the back, and deleted the tweeters... next to no sound, i guess the factory amp is still in the loop, and the moron didn't use the harness to bypass it.
