Saw a nice wood trimmed wheel in the junkyard from a 2003. Would it fit my 2002? On Ebay I see 2000-02 or 2003 and up for sale. What is the difference?
Recently got the car so I don't know what gas is in the tank but even if its 87 octane, it's still pinging too much. Once it's warmed up, even slight acceleration will cause it to knock. It has no codes stored and has over 150,000 miles. Could it be carbon build up?
I bought the first one, a 2000, two weeks ago at an auction, then today I scored a 2002 LSE 5-speed in black on black at the same place. Anybody know the 5-speed production numbers by year and how rare this one might be?
Does it twist off or do you pull straight up? And is there any other repair for the boot than was described in this old post http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/forum/showthread.php?19834-Manual-shifter-boot-permanent-repair
In my 2000, but it will go up and down. If I disconnect the wires to the potentiometer it will go in and out but for a second at a time. I'd have to press the switch like ten times to move the column one inch. Most likely the pot is bad? From what I read that part is not available anymore new...
2000 model. I assume the child safety switch in enabled so I can't open the door from the inside. The outside handle that you grab is missing. I tried probing the hole where the handle should go with a hook tool but got nowhere. Any suggestions to get it open?
Just got this 2000 LS V6 and it has those two codes with the CEL on. Would that be a vacuum leak related? I can hear air hissing from under the dash when idling. The hissing goes away when I step on the gas, I guess because vacuum drops under power. Also the engine takes a few seconds to idle...
This car is coming up for sale Tuesday at an auction. It's gray with 131,000 miles. It's very clean inside and out except the rear bumper has peeling paint. The engine does have a miss in it so I don't know if it's a head gasket problem or needs a basic tune-up but it doesn't overheat or smoke...
