Does anyone know how to by pass the anti theft system? My anti theft light will not stop flashing, I think due to the black plastic piece around the ignition switch spinning freely. The car will start if I jump the solenoid, but using the key it will not do anything.
The starter solenoid is on the starter on the front left side of the engine. When I turn the key the car makes no noise at all. the black plastic piece around the ignition switch turns freely with or without the key in the switch. Is this normal?
I have a 96 continental that will not turn over using the ignition key. I can jump the starter and it will start and run just fine. I tried resetting the anti theft system, but this did not help. Any Ideas????/
I have a 96 Lincoln Continental and my problem is the car will not start using the ignition switch. If I jump the starter it will start and run just fine. I have reset the alarm and still no luck.
