will not having a thermostat sensor thing cuase my 2003 ls v8 to go into "etc engine fail safe mode"? this mechanic took it off and i lost it. the car doesnt overheat, it doesnt go past the half on the temp gage but it gives me check engine and etc failsafe mode.

i had this done about 1 1/2 ago, for some reason the LS feels a bit slower, and smells like gas. also he added a piece of i believe 3" pipes. does anyone know the pros and cons to this??

what is the year of your car and the intake system you run, have you had any any, even if small problems. i've had a ton of problems i run an early 03 v8 with a k&n fipk kit. ford says to stick to the stock intake because the throttle body is getting too much air and goes to an etc engine...
