If you don't start the car for a few hours before you do the job the pressure should be at a safe level. I didn't touch the relay when I did mine but the car was sitting for at least 8 hrs before I did it. Good Luck!

Where do you want to mount the lights? If you are going to be frenching the plate into the bumper cover why not do the rev. lights too? Or go w/ some small but superbright LEDs and use them to hang the plate on, would be a pretty clean finish if you could find some bright enough.

mharrison is correct when you heat up springs it is almost impossible to get the car to sit even. You can block the car to help out. Place some blocks under the frame rails as close to the tires as possible and heat each spring up in a pattern as if you were rotating your tires in a criss cross...

Don't cut your springs, heat them up with a torch while they are in the car. (Be careful when you play with fire) That will put your car in the weeds if you want.
