    Windshield washer pump

It's 24 right now, warming up to 30 later. I just filled the fluid a couple of weeks ago, so it should be stable.

    Windshield washer pump

Thanks guys. I'll try a little rubbing alcohol and see if that works.

    Windshield washer pump

I have new washer fluid, so it's not frozen. My passenger front rim is leaking air, so I need to take it off to get fixed. When I do that, I will get the VOM out and see if it's a power issue or the pump. Thanks guys!

    Windshield washer pump

Of course, when it's zero degrees outside, my windshield washer pump stopped working. The turn stalk is fine, wipers are being activated, just no noise from the washer pump. Is the pump located at the bottom of the tank? Seems to be an available item. I looked on the site and didn't find much...

    "05 LS no heat

I filled and bled the system last night. Working good now. I hope I don't have any leaks, but it is holding pressure. Watching the garage floor for any signs of drippage.

    "05 LS no heat

Sorry, EGR. I had just woke up. I was doing it with the nose up. i will give that a try. And speed or rpm doesn't make a difference. Eventually, I do get heat. And the temp sensors do work. Let me try bleeding it the correct way.

    "05 LS no heat

It's an '05 with the V-8. I learned my lesson with the PCV valve, so I bought the Motorcraft DCCV. I did not replace the thermostat. Eventually, I do get heat, but it is well after the gauge shows it fully warmed up. It used to start blowing warm air long before the gauge was showing hot.

    "05 LS no heat

Replaced my DCCV valve in my car. Bled the system at least 5 times. Drove it home tonight with the temp gauge fully warmed up. Not a bit of heat. This is not going to work with living in the midwest. K

    DCCV tool?

Had my son here last week, he's a better mechanic than dad now, lol. Got the DCCV replaced. That took care of my static in the sub-woofer channel also. Just need to bleed it a little more. Drivers side is fine. getting some cooler air from the passenger side still.

    Static from the sub channel

Wow, I just found this in another thread: I have had the DCCV effect both the amp and the parking brake, last time this happened both issues went away once a new DCCV was installed. This just started happening and guess what? My DCCV is bad and ready to replace it. I hope this fixes the issue.

    DCCV tool?

I bought a long pair of needle nose pliers. I removed the upper hose. The line for the AC is still in the way. But I should be able to get it now.

    DCCV tool?

Thanks Joe. I had some long nose pliers, but wouldn't reach it. I'll head to HF and try the long reach pliers. If that doesn't work, will order the tool.

    DCCV tool?

I went to replace my DCCV today and it is basic enough except for one thing. I do not have a tool to remove the funky clamps that Ford installed on the hoses. I don't have anything long enough to get to them and I cannot see getting a tool down there to remove them. since this is my daily...

    Static from the sub channel

2005 3.9 V8. I replaced the stock radio with a Kenwood dual DIN radio and have enjoyed it for years. I have the steering wheel controls and the additional plug required to power up the sub-woofer side of the system. Just last week, it started having a static popping sound in the background of...

    New user DATC question

That is very ugly. Not high on my list of things I want to try. I could see tons of broken clips in the plastic when I was done.

    New user DATC question

Thanks Joe. My current error codes are 2778 (DCCV) which I have a new Motorcraft one ready to go in. My other code is 1263, dash actuator. I think I will pull the DATC out this weekend and do some jumpers and see what we have going. Not sure i have the patience to remove the whole dash. My...

    New user DATC question

Thread revival, lol. This issue has never gone away. I just lived in CA, so I only needed AC. My DCCV valve is not working, so I am going to to address that issue now. So I will figure out how to jump these connections and verify it's the motor and not the wiring. How do I actually access...

    A/C worked yesterday, nothing today

Charged the system today and it is back working. He went over all the fittings looking for any leaks using his fluids and couldn't find any. It's working again, will see how long it lasts. Thanks!

    A/C worked yesterday, nothing today

Well, we checked the system today and it is basically out of refrigerant. My friend has all the gauges to vacuum the system and we will pull it down tomorrow and see where the leak is. I had the cover off before and didn't see any signs of oil leaking, so I am hoping it is the low/high side...

I hope I didn't just total my car

Ok, at least I am not as livid about this car being wrecked. That is my main concern. I have owned this car for 5 years, put 25,000 miles on it, and I know it has no value but I really am not in the market to replace it. I can handle a lower control arm. Subframe is a different story. I...
