    Outer Tie-rod

Or just do inners at the same time - under $20 at rock auto. All you need is a crow's foot wrench, or a big ass Crescent wrench to pull it out. You can do inners and outers together faster than you can monkey around with a frozen outer. Set the new inner/outer to the same length as what you...

    Previous mechanic of my car...

for the very worst ones on mine, I had better luck hammering on a 6 point deep well impact socket, then using a breaker bar. The X wrenches are fine on good lugs, but they're pretty sloppy, and will round off really stuck lugs very easily. And IF you get a lug stuck in an X wrench, good luck...

    help with my stock amp

Ended up putting a new head unit in - connected up the 2 subwoofers with the Metra harness - the front ambient ones work just fine as they did before. Still nothing back at the harness under the rear deck other than 12v constant power. There has to be something disconnected or cut somewhere...

Bad PCM. Questions before the swap. P0606.

You're also supposed to short the + and - cables together for a few minutes when resetting the PCM/KAM (both cables disconnected from battery, and clamped together, just to be extra clear here) - another debated process (god knows why..)

Bad PCM. Questions before the swap. P0606.

Modern day batteries are not like 'good old days' batteries - a marginal one will often still start the car. Back in the 'good old days' you could get by for a while on a marginal battery by jumping it, charging it by driving around a while, and maybe get a couple more weeks out of it. With...

    New rims

to me they look OK - and if the tires are good, it's a pretty good deal - the tires alone cost more than that if you bought new. My only issue is that on 20 inch rims w/ a 35 sidewall, the car's gonna ride like crap, and at least here in Illinois, the potholes are gonna blow out those rubber...

    help with my stock amp

it's zero volts back at the sub amp harness on that pin, joe....that's absolutely the problem - the question is why? - lack of continuity in the wire? seems not, or something in the head unit...seems so. If I jump the constant power to the turn on, I get a thump....that's good, but it wants...

    help with my stock amp

honestly, after testing that one connector tonight if that fails, I'm probably just going to replace the head, maybe the speakers and add a powered sub and be done with it....stereos are cheap enough these days.

    help with my stock amp

yeah - it seems as though I have continuity in the wire between the dash and trunk for remote turn on - that's a tough reach with a meter! but it did show continuity most of the time in my rigged up test! There's no real way to test the output of the head unit AFAIK other than the system self...

    help with my stock amp

wish it were that simple - tried another working (stock lincoln) amp - no dice. My current theory is that the remote turn on signal isn't coming from the stock head unit...

What did you do to your LS today?

drilled rotors are useless other than the appearance factor - kind of like stickers - they don't make you go/stop any faster. You can get a 4 corner rotor and ceramic pad kit from rock auto for cheaper ($142), and I'll attest the powerstop kits they sell are good stuff - just put a set on...

What did you do to your LS today?

Lol...would be easy to screw that up though...it's tight, you can't see, and well, most people working at jiffy pit are one step away from "ding fries are done"
