town car
I personally like the 80 to 97 models the best.
The most unique ones are the 80-82 town coupe which is big and impressive or a mark vi. sedan.
I really like the 5.0 engine for reliability. The multi port injected ones I think 85 to 90 can be converted to high output using parts...
Check for leaks. Pressure test. Could be radiator cap. Could be at hose clapnp. Could be heater core. Look for wet passenger floorboard. There is hose under manifold. Look for leak out back engine.
Lee Iacocca was a great man. Responsible for mustang and mark 111 and broughhamization and saving Chrysler. I bet he could save Lincoln. All these bland cars they make now won't do it.
You might consider trading it for a town car. That is Lincolns most reliable model. The L's and continentals seem to have far more issues. The jag engine has more issues than the 4.6 in the big car. They leak and have coil issues and cam advance issues. The town car is cheaper to own even...
Agree. I disconnected egr on ford 460 400 302 and 300 and all ran better with more mileage and power and drivability. Egr is useless. Only gm cars seem to need it.
Lincoln body on frame. Bigger. Rearwjeel drive. Not made by gm. Rides better. Better seats. Better switches for windows. Better looking. Better engine. Better transmission. Better dash. Better everything. Cadillac? What a joke. Fwd. Burns oil. Leaks oil. Fuggly.plastic fenders...
Hmm this is hard. I come up with 3.
77 black town car with black half top and interior. 460 with dual exhaust and advanced cam. timing with dove heads and no emmisions. Also gotta have opera windows and 4 doors. Just like Don Corleone would drive.
80 market vi signature series in red...
Just fix it. usually to fix windows you jut drill the dimples to get a 5/16 socket or 8 mom on the 3 bolts. Usually the motors are stripped. They will just spin. Pull the motors and take cover off. CleN the plastic out and replace dollars with tiny nuts in 3 stacks of 2. They are the size...
I would get the coil springs. Cheaper and you won't ever have a problem with them and it rides as well. My mark vi signature sedan has coils and rides like its on a cloud. I'm glad mine don't have air to fail and sag down.
I see nothing good ahead for Lincoln. First off they killed the Town car which was the only real Lincoln left. All the cars have bland styling and if it were not for the giant emblems they would be mistaken for any generic mid size car. The mk names are confusing. The styling is hideous and...
