    Reset cabin air filter message????

Got it! Can't tell you how many times I tried every which way to get it to reset. Even followed the manual instructions, which I'm sure is what Joe's advise mostly is, but to no avail. This morning I got it on my third attempt! Funny the small things that can mess you up. I can rebuild a car...

    Reset cabin air filter message????

All, I cannot reset my cabin air filter message. Every time I hold down the reset button, it just goes to the next menu. Tried disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes. No luck. Any suggestions? I can reset the fuel mileage and oil life no problem, but not the cabin air filter. Uhg!

If you haven't been to this site and read it, re-read it, and learned from it, you're doing yourself a mis-service. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ Everything you want to know about what oil is best, what filter etc. As a previous poster said, NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Fram oil filter. The...

The XM with the Bose stereo in our DTS sounds awesome. Maybe it's an equipment or install issue?

    Is it worth it?

Is it worth driving 200 miles to pick up a used Magnaflow exhaust system for $150? Condition looks to be about a 6 out of 10. Will need some welding, but I would imagine since the majority is made of SS, it should be OK????? Advise appreciated! Dan

    Extra keys?

My little local independent locksmith has programmed keys for both my LS and my TC. They can buy a tool/scanner to allow them to do this. He charges $50 for the service, which included cutting two new keys. Call around. Find that retired locksmith that works out of a van like I did. Used him for...

Easy fix TC Touring Sedan FS.

Selling our '99 Touring Sedan. Right front suspension found a good sized rock and of course, totaled the car out. Bought it back from the insurance company, but haven't found the time to get after fixing it. Will need complete front right suspension, some welding as the sway bar link was torn...

    Bodykit

Classic Design Concepts, a OE Ford supplier, made the first gen LSE kits. Don't know about the second gen, but I'll see them in a few weeks. The kits have been out of production for a long time and CDC has a reputation of clearing out old parts fairly quickly. Be interested to see if they have...

    2007 Jaguar STR Brakes Confirmed

There are at least four sets of these on eBay right now. You can also buy them rebuilt. It's pretty much the same Brembo calipers used on the newer Shelby's and Trac Pack Mustangs and Boss's.

what kind of wax is best

Be interested in trying those, but the Lucas stuff is available anywhere now. Even Walmart (Hey Forrest Lucas has got the Colts stadium to pay for!) For $9/16oz. NOTHING shines better. Even the best Griot's stuff I've tried. Try it. You'll thank me later!

    Sorting Out My "New" LS

Rent a good carpet cleaner with a hand wand. Pull your front seats. Get a good foaming upholstery/carpet cleaner. (I like the Turtle wax brand as it smells good) Use at least the entire can, if not two, soaking down the entire carpet. Scrub it in good. Wait about 15 minutes and then use the...

what kind of wax is best

I've tried dozens of waxes over the years. My first job in '78 was as a lot boy at a Audi/VW/Fiat dealer. Been a hobby ever since. I've tried everything from Zaino and Griot's, which have very loyal followings, to cheaper products such as Rain Dance and Turtle wax. What I've found to work best...

Too dirty for pics right now. It's 25* outside. Hate this winter. Loved the "global warming" last winter. It's March dammit!! My car looks just like the one on the left in your pic below. Silver birch/black 2005 LSE. Degas bottle. Duh! They put that in a nice spot too. Love these cars...

Great forum. Just bought my second LSE, an '05. Had one 5 years ago and sold it when I got a company car. Now that we have an allowance option, went back to the LSE. Got one cheap ($6k) with 109k miles that needs a little sorting. Here's what I've got coming in/installing/installed: 1...
