It's out and sitting in my driveway but it was super difficult to remove. So now I'm curious, what is the right way to do it once everything is unplugged and unbolted? We wrestled with the thing for a good 30 minutes before it was finally free.

when I turn the key to accessory nothing happens (no lights, no fuel pump priming) but a click sound, nothing on the dash lights up but the fuel gauge does move. The theft light doesn't seem to come on either. All of the major grounds and power wires seem to be intact, is this just a weird...

Is there a difference? I have been looking around and newer lower mileage crown vic transmissions (not from cop cars) seem to be cheaper than older mustang transmissions. Personally I would rather pay less for something newer and less abused, but I don't see too many mentions of people around...

I have a scangauge but have the trans apart, so I can't check it myself. I figure I might as well put a temp gauge in while I'm in there, unless I don't need to. I've been using the scangauge in my other car and didn't think to check beforehand.

we seemed to be about the same, aside from the fact that my exhaust is back to making an awful smell, even after new o2 sensors a year ago :( might be time to replace the whole exhaust setup :cool:
