    lincoln ls misfiring issues

One other thing to be aware of that happened to me... Do you hear any clacking sounds coming from the front of the valve covers? If so your secondary timing chain tensioner may have gone bad (the original ones were made of plastic) and you may have jumped a tooth or two which will cause it to...

Front wheel bearing bad, which one?

I'll have to jack it up and check it, I just had it in pep boys a couple weeks ago before I parked it to do the timing chain job and during the last snow we had here the right side wheel slid into a curb and they ended up having to put a new inner/outer tie-rod on it (side to side movement) and...

Front wheel bearing bad, which one?

I remember reading a thread here on how to determine which one it is by turning but for the life of me I cant find it now. Whats happening is there is a noise coming from the front end that gets louder as you go faster, if turn right the noise goes away and if you turn left it get louder.

    Timing Tools

Thanks for the responses guys, I may not need the tools after all. After pulling the right side valve cover and knowing what to look for the secondary tensioner is def trashed and after rotating the flat spots to the top the bottom cam looks to have jumped a tooth and according to another post...

Replaced secondary cam chain tensioner, now what???

Getting ready to tackle the same thing on mine, horrible noise coming from the right front VC area and has the same really rough idle. One of the things I will be checking to see when I have it torn down is if the chain may have jumped a tooth.
