If the lens' are just dingy or yellowed, these can be buffed out with plastic polish and a buffer wheel for a drill. Did it for my son's '90 T-bird, worked great. If they are burnt that sucks, I'm guessing you mean burnt as in blackened?

Fade is an overheat problem. I would check the fluid, if it is brownish, change it. A groaning could be pads getting worn and\or the rotor(s) may need turning or replacing. I would do a brake job on 'er.
