I would point you in the direction of "both my LS' have done this and I've talked to dealership (mine is still under warranty) and mechanics and nobody can find anything wrong / they all say it seems like normal operation (the dealer especially says that last part).

The blower issue is your DCCV (dual climate control valve). 99% sure on that.

Some LS' had to be made with some sort of fault with door lock grease or something. My 2nd LS locks freeze shut all the time. The first LS never had this issue. I wish I could help you Stopsign but I've tried all the grease/sprays and stuff too, and half the time in the winter I'm climbing...

The Ford extended warranty will only go to 100k/10yrs. I wouldn't spend a dime on an aftermarket warranty of any kind.
