As has been said, I don't look in here much. The new project is a close duplicate of the Cobra Daytona with a 4130 space frame and a carbon fiber body. It will start out street-drivable with a billet aluminum block, a 4.6 inch bore and a 3.5 stroke, which comes out as a significantly oversquare...
I am quite willing to offer any bit of info I have.
I decided to create a whole different car and quit trying to mod my daily driver. You can likely buy an entire Jag engine and swap it in mostly as a bolt-in. The 4.2 versions will give you 400 HP as from the factory if you find one of the...
Although I am very vehemently opposed to the idea of putting a chibrolay engine in a Lincoln, I'll say that your efforts seem workmanlike and neat. Getting use of a plasma cutter will have that support web out of the way of the driveshaft in short order.
In regard to the throttle control...
Worm, with all your jibbering and pointing fingers, you simply achieve the status of someone with little to do but try to elevate yourself by suggesting that others aren't prefect.
Remove the log in your own eye before attacking the mote in someone else's.
This is unsustainable. America is poised to flush down the financial tubes if we're unable/unwilling to change this.
Have you ever wondered why very few Hawaiians are working when you visit those islands?
Can't you just hear students telling their teachers in the future, they want to be...
Is Logic the same thing as common sense?
1 - Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving.
Maybe it's time to raise the age of Smart Phone ownership to 21.
2 - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA.
3 - The Second Amendment makes more women...
A friend sent this to me---
Kissinger is now 94 years old. Recently, Henry Kissinger did an interview and said very amazing things regarding President Trump. He starts with:
"Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven't seen before!"
The former Secretary of State...
One thing we can rely on is 'the worm' appearing at intervals to confound us with his superior reasoning power.
Or his ability to wander off into a fog. This thread started out to be about the lack of thinking ability of those who espouse liberal-progressive ideas. Somehow worm has missed the...
I think you're a bit high but remember I said '...fat wallet...' ;)
Both the flywheel and scattershield can be special ordered without the holes. Might take a bit longer to get them but they shouldn't cost extra. The trans will be the most expensive part, but I think more like $5-6 grand total.
I've not had that problem or even heard of it. I'd start with the simplest---check to see if there is some misalignment in the shifter or something interfering with the stick movement. Maybe you'll get lucky!
Virtually anything can be done with a fat wallet and determination. It's possible to get an aftermarket 'scattershield' bellhousing without the circumference drilled, and have it done to match the AJ block. Ditto with an aftermarket flywheel---matched to the crank. Hydraulic throw-out bearing...
I believe 'Riv-Nuts' is a brand name. They are available in a variety of sizes and materials. They're available at places like Home Depot, Lowe's, Grainger and Fastenal. They're an excellent suggestion for the locations mentioned above.
