what wheel specs are you inputting for a stock wheel and an LS wheel?
you do need spacers up front for a 17" LS wheel on a mark viii.

you can apply 12v to the starter solenoid to bypass all of that.
try hitting the starter with a mallet a few times.
are you trying to distinguish if its a 95 or a 96?
96 will have an OBD2 port under the dash.
