Don't mean to rain on your sale, but in the interest of being honest, it will cost around $200 to have it unlocked if it's VIN locked. Officially, only SCT can unlock them. Un-officially... well, it's doable. But you need to know the right software.

I've seen that as well. IMHO, it depends on how good the installer is. The ones I've seen, you couldn't tell there was an aftermarket unit behind it.

You want a 2 piece from a 93. Less vibration. I'd give you the other option of a Denny's driveshaft, but they don't make 'em no mo'. You can tank Alcoa (the tube manufacturer) for that.

Missed the HID part. Sorry. I saw my buddy's headlights about 3 miles away and I was rushing to finish my post before he got there to help me get unstuck. I didn't check whether or not that light housing was an HID, I used the first 05 LS VIN I found on eBay.

These go to a 2010 (and newer???) Dodge Ram 1500. We pulled them off because the truck isn't used for towing. No, it's not my truck. They retail for around 840, my buddy wants 500 for them. I would greatly appreciate it if any of you that have friends with Dodges would let them know...

I have to disagree. It's not a matter of "personal preference", it's a matter of using your head when driving. I've driven at highest speeds than likely most people on these forums. I am an official member of the 200+ MPH club. It's all about using your head and knowing when and where to...

Of course, it's your money, but nowadays, I don't see a reason to own a radar detector anymore.

Radar detectors, you really want to buy brand new. Why? Because the antennas horns they contain, while made for rugged use, are easily thrown out of calibration by a good drop if you drop the detector onto say, pavement or another surface hard enough to jar the horns.

Maybe it's time to edjumakate yourself on how radar detectors work? Do some of your own research on the units that people recommend, before you buy one because someone says "OMG! OMG! xyz Detector it tEh bestest of them all!"... if you know what I mean.
