  • Sup! I just wanted to leave a note here, I'm up in Spring Lake/Ferrysburg, and have been for 9 whole days. Yeehaw.
make sure the new inner tie rods have the same amount of thread as the old set. i had to get a new set because new set didn't have enough threads and i ran out of adjustment. be careful of the lines they're old and rusty so you might snap one. the hoses are the hardest part the easiest way to get to them is to drop the rack and get them from the side. the two bolts that hold it up can be a bitch so it may take awhile to get them. other than that it's pretty easy just take your time. and if you brake the pressure line at the rack (like i did) you can get a new fitting for $15, just undo the hose clamp and slide it in. Hope that helps
I asked about changing the rack and pinion in a mark vii and was told you had just changed one and was wondering if you had any tips/tricks i should know before changing mine
