  • Brandon,

I had to have the vehicle towed to a Ford dealer because I was out of town. They did the repair. They replaced both pieces of the two piece thermostat housing. I didn't know it was a two piece housing. It might be the 8592 and 8548C parts in your diagram. I would call a dealer to get the exact part numbers though. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

    Hi jberbrich,
I am experiencing the exact same symptoms with my 03 LS that you mentioned in your post "Fixed my constantly running cooling fan" http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=72557&highlight=thermostat

By chance do you have the part numbers of the items you replaced? I cant make since of the parts diagram and I would like to order the parts ahead of time if possible.
Here is the Illustration I was going off of:

The best advise I have found is to have all of the coils and spark plugs replaced whenever you have a failure(s). That way you should have a much longer period until they start wearing out again. If you only replace the failed ones, more will fail soon, as their life expectancy is about that of a butterfly.
I am also new to this site. jberbrich did you get an answer from anyone to your question regarding new coil packs from the manufacture.? I am having major problems with coils in my LS. I'm now on my 5th coil replacement.
