antenna wont go down?

so i got out of car today and my power antenna wont go down. i hear the motor working. but the damn thing wont go down.

any ideas anyone?

yep. there is a plastic strip with gear teeth on it. it slides up into the antenna to push it up and pull it down. it probably stripped. new antennas aren't very expensive, and easy to replace.

Hmmm .. has it been this way for more than 4 hours ... if so you might have a serious problem ... maybe you should go to the Doctor to have this looked at.

the part of the plastic strip where it makes contact with the motor when in the up position.
the teeth at the point where it contacts when its down is fine.
