Keyless entry trouble

I have a 99 Continental and the keyless entry is acting up. If i use the keypad on the door it will lock the doors but will not unlock the doors. The remote won't work at all and i have changed the battery in the remote to rule that out. Very strange that i can lock the doors with the keypad but not unlock them and i'm using the factory code.....Any ideas what may be the trouble?? Thanks

Sorry, you can also try new key fabs because even though you change the battery the buttons wear out. The code for door I would have to say spend the money on a dealer to check it our or maybe a locksmith. I had my new keys programmed by locksmith and they also had to reset the system to add a key.
