Pulled up next to me at the light and we took off, I never had a chance but it was still fun. He gave me the thumbs up with a big grin. Super nice car.

Well if your going to go down, Make it a big Splash! good way to go out, hell I'm surprised he even entertained the thought of redlight racing with a lincoln!

Congrats on a GREAT LOSS! Lol:D

If a 12 year old Lincoln with 20 inch chrome rims tried to race my Lambo on the highway I don't think I would give a thumbs up...it would be a different finger. That driver is a pretty cool dude

People like that Lambo drivers are idiots.

He's picking (or trying to race, if you will), a car that he knows for a fact would not win.

Why even do it?

Maybe it has something to do with his paper plates and him trying to prove to himself he bought a "fast" car by racing everyone he knows can't beat him?

Or he bought a car and is actually having fun with it... :)

Maybe he likes having fun showing off his new toy:cool:
Also nobody forced the OP to actually race the Lambo. If anything it's just two drivers having some fun comparing what their cars can do.

Sorry Froggy, gotta agree with the other guys. New toy, was having fun. When I had my Cobra it was flashy and fast and all the time people that didnt have a chance would try to pull me at a light. I would always jog around them and give them a thumbs up if they were smiling and starring.
Can be cool and still go fast in a fast car.

Eh. To each his own, I suppose. But racing against someone when you know you can easily destroy in a race is nothing more than showing off and being an attention whore, IMHO.

It's like Tirunesh Dibaba (if you don't know who that is, google it) competing against Special Olympics runners. What would be the point?

Maybe i'm just getting old and don't see the need for such "sportsmanship".

When I was on my way to class a couple of summers ago on my R1 (before my bikes got stolen) I got passed by a guy in a Ferrari, he slowed down and kept screwing with me so I dropped it into 4th brought the front wheel up and blew his doors off! he finally caught up 10 miles latter and flipped me off so I did it again and when I stopped for gas he pulled up behind me and swore he'd never mess with anyone on 2 wheels again! I told him that I still had some gears to go through and he just looked disgusted and said that when he bought the car he was told that "no one on the road could ever keep up with him." So I said "well I think you were lied to!" I think it is funny that my 9000 dollar bike blasted the doors off of a 200,000 dollar car!

The OP said it was fun and obviously got a kick out of it or he wouldn't have posted the thread. The lambo owner had fun showing off as well. I don't see anything wrong with that.

WTF 20k Ferrari did you race, a 1985 328GTB?

Anyway, something I've always failed to see is why a bike would race a car.

If the bike loses, he gets laughed at by everybody for being epic slow to lose to something on 4 wheels. If the bike wins, who cares, bikes are supposed to beat cars.

Same thing happened to isaiah3g, you can find it in his thread, "Freakin Wops.";)

I can say that, my last name ends with a vowel.:D

Not any more! It's aaaaalll gone! ;)

I once jumped at a Saleen. Silly me.
It was as if I smalled on the brakes and he nailed it.

Dammmmn...... People sure do get stirred up around here.

Just to clarify, I don't have 20's... I have 18's.

He was at the light slightly reving his car, not in a racing manor though...

My car was sounding kinda mean, since I pulled the exhaust tips off to have them redone and put some temporary dumps on it.

I reved mine up a couple times, just to see and I heard him stall up. I did the same and we took off.

At the next light he rolled down his window and had a big smile on his face and gave me a thumbs up.

*I thought it was pretty cool, didnt act like a douche at all.

If he's going to wait around for an equally matched car to show up at a light......remember I'm in Oklahoma, could be awhile.

I thought it was pretty awesome that a guy in a $200,000 car that he just bought would actually play with it and make the extra effort to let me know he enjoyed it.

Sometimes you do just run into cool people.

When I drive around in my Cobra it seams that cars that might be a contender ignore me. Z-28, GTO, Corvettes, ect. But old Pick ups and escorts want to race. Not always but most times I just find it annoying

Here is a photo that I took while messing around with a lambo when I was in my jeep gcsrt8. There was two kids in a mustang bullit behind me and thats where they stayed. There was traffic but when it opened up, it was on! The look on the driver and his girlfriend (or wifes) face was priceless as I passed them at 150+ mph! I am sure he let off but to have a 2 1/2 ton suv on your @ss is insane! It was all in good fun though!
