I can just friggin scream! Found what was wrong with my motor.

just my two cents, boost + high compression = pre ignition = piston, wrist pin damage, chain pull, broken chain guide and sprocket. Go with the new motor. I bet you will find piston wrist pin damage or little tweaked rod.

Don't these engines have C-clipped wrist pins anyway? If I'm thinking correctly, then I could def. see a fugged up wrist pin as a possibility. Maybe broke a C-clip and caused wrist pin slap.

I'm still thinking that there is something else, cuz im sure that broken banana rail wouldn't cause that much chain slap

That is the same chunk that broke off of my old b-head engine. Mine made absolutely no extra noise than before.

You have another problem elsewhere.

That was the noise you were hearing when the guides break the timing chain has nothing to run on and in that case it sounds like an aluminum can is under your car its the chain hitting the inside of the timing cover had the same problem everyone was like yo yours cars knocking and tapping must have a bad lifter im like no i know what the problem is.
