Gen 2 aftermarket hid question...light pattern

ok...so i drove my car for the first time at night since installing my new kit and adapter plates i got from kk..My problem is that the left side of the drivers side hid light there seems to be a little beam of light that shoots to the left...the pass side you can still see it alittle but not as much..

Did the factorys do this and i just didnt notice?

I have the same thing too. my headlight housings are newer FoMoCo replacements and as far as I know the lights are factory

yeah, just knowing there not perfect kinda ticks me off too.

I'm thinking since my new hids are so much brighter that it makes that beam of light stand out that much more.

take some metal tape and put around the end of the housing to cut it down. the driver side is set so that the light is shining a way from the on coming traffic leaving the end of the housing sticking out past the side marker light housing giving it room to produce the brite light.

I noticed that on my 97 when I switched to aftermarket HID's also....
