So Saturday I was in Manitowoc and kept getting stuck between two out of state cars on my way outta town. One was slow so I get behind the other, then it was the slow one. So at a light I am behind the slow one and the other gets ahead and switches lanes. So I naturally floor it.

No clue where he came from, but this stang came up on my ass after I took a corner and was following me. The next light is red and he is behind me. Once you cross the intersection is quickly becomes a single lane. Well as I am crossing over to the left lane he comes up quick behind me then along side and cuts me off. If I merged any quicker both cars would have been a wreck.

I play fast, not stupid so I let him do his thing. At the next light I am in the lane to turn left to head to the highway. He is in the far right lane. Well I say :q:q:q:q it and floor it around the corner, fish tail out a little and bolt like hell down the road hitting about 125mph. I have never been that fast before :) LOL

So my amusement I see he cuts across traffic from the right lane in pursuit. Well we get on the highway and he flys by and we both exit going opposite ways.

Not sure what he had in there, but I think its fair to say it was a close match. It was an older Stang, two door hatchback maybe? Either way it was a fun rush and no cars were harmed in the making of this tail.

Our cars can really beat a stock fox body stock for stock?

I think it was a 5.0 and modified.

I was on Calumet to R then Waldo to 43 before we exited. I took 10 back to R, R is a LOT more fun when heading to GB than a boring old highway like 43.

Thats cute, considering my 89 302 mustang is stock and it runs 13.5s all day and there arent any markviiis running 13.5s let alone 13s that arent max effort or stock valvetrains or na.

R old 141 .... that was a fun road ... Miss being around that area ... Had a lot of fun as a teen cruising that area.

Look who's back from the dead it's Mr. Wilson ... LOL ... I guess he's missed out on a few of our members ... but then it's Mr. Wilson .. Welcome back

Well I know I am not exactly stock. He may have been, not sure.

I know you say you have stock rearend and engine... you got all your money in suspension and DR's/slicks?

Have a buddy of mine with an 89 LX, bought it a little over 2 years ago, when he had an edelbrock performer upper and lower, small cam, and ported E7 heads and he wasnt running 13.5's....

Factory replacement shocks, and springs.

Yes, et drags.

My car is carbureted

Hows your 85 run?

well considering waldo to 41 is a big valley you prolly felt like it was the fastest you ever went, i blew up a caveleir on that road a couple years ago

What sort of intake/carb combo do you run?

I'll let you know when I put it together

lol. Aint that always the way.

Im running a gap and a 600 dp, 70/78 jetting. Im getting an hp main body and new base plate at some point, 650 probably. The one I have is off a hydro racing boat so its been appoxied all over and has limited the tuneability.

Whats the plan for the 460?

oh man wilsons back :slam need to get that mopar shyt off your avatar if your gonna come in here and talk fox bodys

To look stock and clean Chevy's clocks!

and to put bus-lengths on small blocks

Seriously though, I want to keep it under the stock hood. Make the car real subtle, ten-hole wheels, porno-red interior with GT highback seats, GT front bumper with marchal foglights. Basically a GT coupe, but a big block. I'd like to throw a TKO600 in it and play with my friends in the UMTR series, but it might have to go C4 for now. I also wanna mess with people and make them think that it's a SSP mustang

Im having trouble with hood clearance with just the air gap. I have a gm hei distributor which sort of limits my air cleaner size, but that aside I cant go bigger than a 2" filter without hood contact (cant run a drop base because of the hei). Hope you can stuff that bb in there without having to go bigger. You could always take the gt hood scoop and cut a hole in the hood under it for some more clearance.

A bb, subtle? lol. Get some quiet mufflers!

Hood clearance? I'll have an extra inch and a half...

Go to www.bigblockfox.com and there is a guy there who makes billet aluminum spacers that go between the K member and the frame rails. Comes will ALL attaching hardware... THAT is the way to go!

Go buy the 1.5" Kmember spacers and the 1.5" sway bar mount spacers... You wont be dissapointed. Just paint em and they are inconspicuous (sp)

how come every time you state what and average car runs like a fox normally a
low 15 to high 14 sec car from the factory some one has one that runs 13s
go to the track an watch most stock cars run worse than what the car has run in any magazine

Who? me?

Btw... your grammar doesnt make much sense...

If it is in response to my post... If you read it, it says my friend car had several mods and couldnt pull 13's.... But, that same car now runs 10's on the spray, low 12's/high 11's on motor

no it was a reply to this
