Is it true that a 245 30 22 tire is only an 1" higher than a 245 35 20 tire? When you would mount the 22's on I was thinking it would only stick a half inch higher than the 20's. I came up with this by dividing the overall size of the time by 2 and thats how far the tire would come up in the wheel well from the center of studs. I figure the 22's will only come up about a half inch more than the 20's? Did I figure this out right or no? Thanks for any info and sorry if you hate 22's

I was looking at a set of wheels that had the 245/30/22 tires on them and the sales guy said that if i could fit 245-35-20 tires on then i could fit 245/30/22's without rubbing. I dont know if he was right, but thats what he told me, but i dont know about the overall size of the rim

Of course it's gonna be at least 1" higher. The 35 and 30 don't make very big difference, but the 20 and 22 inch wheels are the ones that make the whole deal. I think the 245/30/22 should work though. If those rub than you gotta get something slimer like 235/30/22 or so.
