Well I drove my new beast home from Colorado (2 days and 1400 miles). Was a great time to get adjusted to the new car and all of its features. There are still some buttons left that I need to read the manual about  but I think I have it pretty much figured out.

Having owned an Escort GT, Mustang, 2 Windstars, 3 successive Taurus SHO's, and then 2 Successive Lincoln LS's, I finally decided to move away from FORD. My wife now has a Nissan and I have a BMW and a Jeep.

The LS taught me what Luxury Sport and class is all about. It is not just 0 to 60 or muscle. It is the whole package. In fact the LS is so good that I felt the BMW was the only one worth my consideration.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all my friends here and wish you all well with the LS.

Thats sweet does she feel quicker than the LS. Gotta love the 5 speed.

baller. i agree with you totally man, the only way to go now is bmw, infiniti m-class, or amg mercedes...

love the new car man. any plans for it??

That is putting it mildly. This car is a 4 door Vette. I am taking it easy to get used to the power. In Sport mode it is insane.
0 to 60 in 4.8 to 5.2 (depending on which magazine did the test

The engine has about 400 hp and 369 lbft of torque (which is down low). This car pulls like crazy even in 6th at 60mph.

Also it is a 6 speed not a 5 speed

Top speed 155 mph (limited) and the quarter is in the high 12's.

I can hit 100 in 3rd gear.

Great looking car! Hope it does you well! You can still stick around and shoot the breeze with us. We won't mind!

Wow that is a fantastic automobile. The owners of the company I work for have M5's and I have been for a few rides in them and the M series defintely has the guts and all the frill.

Hapy motoring in the M.

feel quicker than the ls??? come on, the ls is respectable but nothing compared to the speed of an m5.

nice looking car. best of luck with it.

Thanks everyone.

Ken I will definitely hang around!

As far as plans for the M5, it is so awesome stock (and it cost so much) I can't think of anything to do to it nor could I afford it right now!

Heh... Does she feel quicker than the LS... that M5 is in a league of its own. It's wicked fast. I mean, I had a '90 RX-7 Turbo that ran mid 13's in the quarter mile, and I raced an M5 on an empty highway one night and it wasn't even close, we're talking that guy just pulled on me so hard it wasn't even funny.

And the LS V8 is much *much* slower than that RX-7 was. So, yes, I guarantee it feels quicker.

i remember talking to you about the m5 several months back, looks like you finally made the purchase. cant go wrong with the m5. im jealous. now if it was only black

Well I had 2 Black LS's in a row so I was up for a change! It is very stealthy. Other nice thing is it is already tinted...

Sweet ride Kelley!
What year is that and how many miles?

I also hope that you will stop by both LS sites from time to time and share your M5 experiences with us.
We'd love to hear all about them.

Thanks Tony. It's a 2002 with 30K miles. It is in better shape and has fewer miles than my 2003 LS believe it or not. The guy I bought it from was extremely retentive (never left the garage in winter).

Ironically, he bought it here in Atlanta and drove it to Colorado.

So think about it, the trip to Colorado and the trip back to Atlanta (that I took) totals 2900 miles and represents almost 10% of the total miles on the car !!!
