coil issue "goes away?"

SO I've been waiting for the inevitable coil pack issue to crop up and I think it may have, except...

Twice now, I've had all the symptoms, the stumbling, the CEL, erratic revs, etc. But both times happened after I had started the car for 30 seconds only to move it about 10 feet in the driveway (cold) then let it sit again before I took it out for a spin. Also just so happens that both times I moved the car to wash it.

Both times it happened, it just ended up going away. Is that typical? I've seen mixed things in the threads...

If it's after you washed it, sounds like the coils got wet. There's some info on here, and a TSB, about water leaking from the cowl area onto the motor.

its only going to get worse. the gaskests arent going to repair themselves. eventally each plug jacket will get soaked with oil..failing plugs/COPs especially with the rear cylinders. 4 and 8 IIRC
