So what was the secret to getting it out of the rack? just curious

a torch to heat it up

ad did it just pull straight out after you hit it w/the torch? Does the car RIDE better?

No it doesnt just pull out, it's screwed into the steering rack, both ends of the tie rod are threaded.

The car rides much much better, however I still need to replace the front links and get an alignment. Then I will know for sure.

If you can, you should see about getting a Tech Article written about this, I'm sure it would be very helpful. Especially with the pics you've taken.

Yes better when going over bumps alot.. The tie rod was so bad, when I disconnected it from the outer rod, you could just hold it up toward the top and it would just fall down. The new one wont even move if I did that.

I was told by two different Dealerships it needed to be done badly. Then upon inspection by myself it was real obvious it needed to be done because of the above mentioned play in the tie rod..
