The big, multi wire connector for my rear lights had a couple of wires slide / snap out of their sockets. I managed to solder the trunk release connector back in, but the rear lightbar connector won't solder properly. Is there an easy way to get the wire back in the connector? By connector, I mean the little metal sleeve inside the black plastic connector.

If it's like many Ford multi-pin connectors, you can disassemble the connector to free the tension on the pins, re-insert them, then put the "face" on the connector back into place which should firmly hold all the pins.

Do you have a picture of it?

Paul.

I don't have a picture yet, I will go take one tomorrow morning. I am not sure how I would take it apart, but if I can, your suggestion makes sense. Thanks for the suggestion, I will give it a shot.

would this be one of the multi connectors your talking about? I dont see how to disassemble it
