What did you do to your LS today?

I programmed keyless entry key fobs for my Gen 1 LS using Forscan for Windows with extended license and did it successfully after the stealership fucked around witb my car for over a week trying and failed. I also solves huge Pats no crank issue thats put me through hell for a month. Today was a good day as an LS owner. Also installed a K&N super high flow air filter thats massive and its done wonders. Next is Cat delete and cherry bomb/ glass pack mufflers.
It's only a v6 so I can justify the full exhaust kit mentioned a lot here (the cat delete X over one people like).
Glad to be back on the forums actively, I'll have some cool tutorials uploaded soon for everyone. Happy weekend everyone, Saturday has landed enjoy!

New upper control arm, knuckle, wheel bearing and finally got around to doing the S-Type Sport brake upgrade.

I bought the car with 90,000 miles for $2500 and had a $6K total budget to build it with my son before he got his license. All total I have $10,100 in it thus far and the wife squawked about it the whole time, but now I can't get her out of it! I've got another month before the kid gets his license so I'm going to get all the enjoyment out of driving it that I can because I absolutely love these cars. I've definitely already started looking around for #2 (mine). Thanks to all the great knowledge base here for making it all possible!

Replaced the rear upper control arms. The outer bushings were still in good shape, but the inner bushings on both the driver and passenger side arms were completely shot.

Cowl Clips! 13 to be exact. Sometimes it is the little things...P/N W705956-S300

The white "what I had" clips were killing my OCD lol

Pretty little maids all in a row...

Oh, and a coolant system bleed just for good measure...

I have zipties for all of those things. In fact, my car might have more zipties than actual fasteners and bolts at this point.

So I see a drip under the drivers side and say uh-oh, 01V6 206k miles, I just changed the coolant tank bottle 15 years ago! Sure enough the small tube with hose had fractured off at the base. Ordered a new tank, $35 shipped to my house! The last one was $150! Proceeded to remove the wiper arms to get the cover off, uh-oh, arms will not budge, well it's been 15 years!
They are frozen in place so after many different attempts to remove, I drill thru the shafts, damn what a mess, the arms were on there solid. Finally they came off, then out came the windshield wiper transmission (no longer any good). Got on the Ebay junkyard and got some used wiper arms and a used wiper transmission. Cleaned around the engine bay and ready to reinstall everything. But while everything is apart, ordered a new cabin filter and engine filter. Oh by the way the 15 year old coolant tank had cracks in it just like the original tank.

I use zipties too, i found on Ebay you can get the push rivets very cheap now, they used to be expensive. I bought a bag of 50.

Each Ziptie adds 1HP, stickers are 5HP.
... don't be shy! :D

First off sorry to every one for being so long winded and having so many spelling mistakes lately I've only had my phone to use for internet for awhile (1st world problem complaining about a 7inch display being too small lol) and to boot lost my glasses awhile back, plus I'm isolated and alone in the middle of nowhere on Vancouver Island in British Columbia so I definitely also have cabin fever.

Anyways even against all the chaos going on right now (and a flat tire eating up at least a grand in total) I've still managed to get lots done on my car mechanically and as far as cleaning up the messy wiring and half assed fixes (like the electric fan conversion where 16 gauge speaker wire and a 10 amp mini fuse were used) the previous owner mickey moused together without even considering it might make the car look like a p.o.s. ,he also just connected all the rear tail lights with 1 spliced together wire.
Loving the upgraded front brakes, can't wait til the back ones are done.

Cool to see the stuff you guys have been doing, it's awesome so many people are still passionate about these cars.
Rollin man your car is looking super tight and super clean! The LSE is such an awesome setup all around.
