LS fans,

Having no interest in watching the Patriots win another superbowl, I went over to the shop to work on the 3.9L special relationship (British/American) Lincoln LS V8. The weather was beautiful so I rolled up the garage door and painted the block a lovely mint green that supposedly was a color used on early 50's cast-iron Lincoln V8s. I saw a guy paint a late-model Cadillac Northstar a classic iron V8 color, and I'm tired of blah natural aluminum engines, so there you go.

I understand if the color makes you ill, but honestly it doesn't look that bad in person. Turned on the game for the last 20 minutes and saw Philadelphia win! So now this green engine is dedicated to the green Eagles.

Here's a "before" picture just after I yanked it out of the car.

I think it looks pretty good, myself. Kudos on putting the effort into cleaning it up, wish I had a garage like that.

Looks good! You plan on painting the VCG's and intake? A cream, (white), color on the VCG's and intake would really make it stand out, (IMHO).

San Diego huh? My sister and B-I-L live in Ramona... just a short drive from Barona drag-way.

I'm a prisoner of my early experiences and, to my mind, a performance engine must be a combination of black, aluminum, and chrome. I mostly leave aluminum (if it's British, must we spell it aluminium?) natural.

Your colour (do you see what I did there?) is just fine!!

Well, that's different...just a Minnesota statement
But in all seriousness, it looks like something out of a piece of farm machinery...anyway I like it it's definitely original to say the least
