97 blend door replace arm, or assembly

With the slot mod to the metal link, do you still need to replace the whole assembly, or would replacing just the arm that broke be sufficient?

Also, anything else I should do while the dash is apart?

Nevermind I think the part I'm finding is the lower arm, not the upper arm

I have noticed that my grey arm is misaligned and thus certain that caused the breakage on this arm. I did a search and found the following pic that shows others have noticed that the hole isn't in the right spot. I think moving the hole up the arm would take the stress off it also found that others were making metal arms see link below...wondering if anyone ever got the cad design to make a batch of these. The zip tie for the top and clamp has worked perfectly for me. I recently just had to reinstall the clamp, figure it came loose after 2 or 3 years, but even in the cold was able to re-install it in less than 10 minutes.
