Check Engine light

Had my check engine come on due to a misfire from some bad gas,the car is running nice and smooth now,so how do I go about getting the check engine light out.Or does it have to be reset by a machine. Hope to hear from someone soon

Depending on the car unplug the battery for 15 minutes to half hour
Some new cars you can't do that though
Also you could go somewhere like Autozone and they can clear it for you.

Was at auto zone ,they wouldn't clear it will try the disconnecting the battery , but before I do that the check engine light is now flashing does anyone no what that might be a indication of?

Got to Oriellys They will be able to reset the light. but if the problem is not fixed they light might come back as soon as you start the car.
