OK... Been using Gulf Premium fuel for three years, since the station opened. A couple weeks ago the CEL came on... First thing I do was replace the original old fuel cap... No change... Free Well unfortunately my 98 LSC computer port under the dash has no wires connected do I can't easily get codes. By chance I needed fuel and used Sunoco Ultra and after a day light goes out. Next tank I used Gulf again and soon after light comes back on. Hmmmm OK that's odd... Next tank back to Sunoco... Never been back on since... I asked the Gulf Station's Manager if they changed formula and explained my issue and he said I was 'stupid' and it's obviously my gas cap... Sigh. Anyway... Got a CEL and car is running well... Change fuel... Never know might be a stupid fix.

Using the same octane? Does one have ethanol and one not?

Both 93 octane with the infamous no more than 10% evil ethanol... I tested both with the antifreeze test and both seem to be 12-13%... Hmmmm

sorry to say, total shot in the dark without codes.
i'd check the obd port fixed.
