factory amp questions

hello lvc members i need to know something about the amp on my car i want to update the audio on my car but keep the factory amp first is the amp 4 or 2 channel the car has the jbl premium sound system your help would be greatly appreciated.

it is 4 channel in, 6 channel out.

if you want to update your audio, you can do much better with a new component 4 channel system and a modern amp.

the factory amps have a habit of going bad in their old age. i've lost 3 myself.

Thanks for the reply it ll be a mild update just a head unit and speakers im looking at output converters thats why i asked.

Agreed... the OEM amp sucks, more so if you have the analog mobile phone option.
