Hey guys, I am in need of removing my headliner to add sound deadener to my roof. I finally got my sound system in and my roof and sunroof flex like no tomorrow.

Any tips or hints are appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Dude, where do you have sex or sleep when the ol lady kicks you out??? I would say put the seat back in and problem solved, but just showing my practacle side. BTW, how much do they slow you down at volume??? A WW2 Spitfire lost 40mph when it fired its guns....

I've never pulled the whole headliner but I did drop part of it on my old 01 Grand Marquis so I bet they're very similar. You remove the pillar trim items and the top will come out as a unit. I seem to recall some heavy-duty velcro-type pieces in a few spots.

That must really sound killer too. My one MoFo 12 (one day a JBL GTi 12) on a JBL 1200 seems weak in comparison.

Lol yeah it's pretty intense, that's for sure. Right now it's about the same volume as a buddies system and he hit 142db on a termlab. I haven't completely set everything up yet, will be louder once it's all finished up :)

I really do hope the headliner is that easy to take down. A quick google search made it look like a royal pain.

A couple more pics, just cuz I wanna show off

I figured out how to remove it, simply have to pull down the A, B, and C pillar trim panels, remove front sun blockers/vanity mirrors, passenger and back seat "oh ****" handles and the whole thing will drop right down. Mine had two electrical plugs, one for the dome lights and universal garage door opener and another for the sunroof controls. I now have to take it back down again tomorrow, because the deadener didn't get warm enough to properly cure and started to droop down.

Pics of the deadener for reference:
