About to go pull an entire interior out of a JY car today (minus the seats) but I have to get the seats out to get the carpet. Car obviously won't have a battery and we all know the joys of trying to get a seat out when you can't move them.

I've never attempted to remove anything that required applying power while in the junk yard, so I'm sort of in the dark. I was thinking to bring my little cheap booster pack, hook it to the car terminals and then move the seats. Should/would that work?

Thanks for any tips guys.

Haha, I thought about cutting them out!

Thanks MG8! I'll give it a go. Headed up there soon.

For something like that, those jump/boost packs are the way to go.

Generally to pop trunks I use the battery pack on my impact driver, but like with the Gen II and SCIL, you can't just jump it with a power pack, you have you power the car.

If it won't front/back then generally up still works, and that can help.

I never thought of sawing the damn things out - great idea. PicknPull in my area sure doesn't care how they get removed.

I disassembled the seats starting with the bottom cushion, then I was able to just unbolt them. I have also powered them using a drill battery and 2 jumper wires.
