My Rebuild Project - DJG 93 Mark VIII

I've already swapped the entire interior (minus the dash) from the 93 tan to the 96 Saddle Tan. If somehow I run across some great condition black interior (which I doubt will happen) I'd love to swap it. Or even the light grey, whatever color that is. I've already invested in this entire entire but I wouldn't mind doing it again. Wasn't hard at all.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Feels great to be at this point, especially from where it started!

I have a complete 96 BLK on BLK LSC that has a perfect interior but it would be too far away for you and the cost to ship would not be worth it. A black interior would look great. Nice car by the way nice job.

Man! Yeah, that would be absolutely amazing. Too bad you're so far. I'd love black interior from a 96.

Thanks Rob.

I did a little with the cluster. I took Taurus needles and used bumper epoxy to mold them and fit them into mine. I like the orange better. The seats cleaned up much better then I initially posted. Rims, considering I pulled them from a JY, turned out great. They have minor blemishes (like you can see in a below picture). I still haven't had the car wet sanded and buffed since paint, and she hasn't been waxed still to this day (I had it painted March 22nd so I can't wax still) but she still shines really nicely. You can see from the front shot all the clouds in the reflection even on a moderately cloudy day.

I haven't posted any pictures of it since painting besides the before and after. I'm slacking...

I know I already posted these pictures in the "What Did You Do To Your Mark VIII Today?" thread, but figured I should add them to my build thread.

Spent 12-hours on it last weekend. Painted the dash (Dupli-Color Flat Black Vinyl), swapped the black carpet in and then swapped all the panels and what not. Going for a "classy" convertible-esque Black/Saddle Tan look. I still need to put the black visors in (which I'm doing today), wire up the illumination lights for the swapped in steering wheel cruise controls (which I'm going to attempt today), and possibly paint the hammered gray shifter plastic/console area Saddle Tan as the color REALLY pops in that black interior and provides a great accent color.

Here are some before/after pictures from that night I finished. I'll probably take new ones today after I'm done since it'll still be light outside LOL
