Just did my water pump, gaskets and BOY do I love my Lincoln. I am giving my wife $3000 for she can get her new truck and stop using my Lincoln.
 
Heavy rains for the past two days and flood warnings everywhere. Guess what happened again...Headlights have moisture in them.. Time to reseal again. What a headache.
 
I got this high class cup holder so I stop getting coffee on my dress shirts. I'm tempted to figure out how to make the LS provided cup holders deeper. They weren't designed with manual shift in mind.

Which one did you get ? O.E , slotted or drilled or both ?
 
good stuff man , I bought the same ones only slotted , they still look like new and stop great
 
sweet! heavy suckers though huh? first time I've ever spend some good money on nice rotors. I see they must go on a certain way also. Directional?
 
haha yea about 70 pounds , the UPS driver couldnt get it off the truck I had to get em :cool: , yes they are directional , what pads are you getting ?

There are pics of the LS engineless and engine and trans hanging around. No pics of the drilling and tapping and now they are buried under the lower intake. You can find my thread, you actually commented on it I think, 3.0L V6 knock

Yeah seen it, looks like something I would have to shy away from. be interested to follow along how and what you have to do to remarry that new motor.
 
It's an 01 engine, so far, I have removed flexplate for flywheel, swapped upper and lower intakes and fuel rail, also had to swap the oil filter adapter as the engine I got was from a non-sport model (provision for the oil cooler), and I'm going to use my 02 Wiring harness, repaired with parts from the 01 harness, everything else is the same. I'm pretty sure the upper intake is the same, but the fuel rail and lower intake is different. I hope to be on the road by Monday, everything is ready to go back in.
