2001 Fuel Filler Door problem

I think this is a common problem, but after trying to adjust the rusted retainer clip on my fuel filler door it broke it off! Can anyone confirm if this is the correct part number (LINCOLN 5W4Z5428608A)? I found them on ebay for $23 shipped.

I have a '00 and had it fixed by my local Lincoln dealer. The part was still available, but they had to order it. Don't know the part number. Check with your local dealership parts dept. It works most of the time. but sometimes it won't and I have to pull the cable in the trunk to get it to open.

You can get a ford part number just by google or sometimes the stores like fastparts.com or rockauto.com list the Ford part numbers..You can try your library for a parts book.
