Since my 2000 has air suspension only in the rear, why do the front wheels still have height sensors?

Am I overlooking something obvious?

They are for the load leveling system. My service guy said if they are moved, to reset them, open and close all the doors.

I guess it makes sense. Instead of having to come up with new load-leveling logic for the suspension when they got rid of the front air, they just kept using the same sensors.

My front driver's side aluminum piece broke on my '01 conti. Had to pay a lot of money at a dealership to get a new one. I still haven't put in yet.
