Today's little update. More sanding & primer. Switched to grey so I can see the imperfections a lot better. Today I included the coil covers as well. Getting ready for something nice!

Wanted to wait 'till I was done but Dan is Dan & I can't let this man down. Here ya' go. Still need to throw the clear coat on it!

Been workin on this for the last 2 weeks on/off & finally got moving on it again the last couple days. Truth be told I've been down in the slumps about Mark VIII's in general & I don't feel as "moved" by them as I once used to. I just bought a sweet GMC Yukon & it feels so good to have parts practically fall from the sky for that truck just like they do for my F-150. No headaches on going crazy looking for parts.


Anyway, not going to go on about that BS, here's the latest. First step, painted them in high temp primer, then high temp blue


Decals on top of the high temp blue 2 weeks after paint. I wasn't in a rush so I left them out in the sun so they can bake.

Started removing the decals

Removed all decals & touched up paint in any areas that needed touch up.

Both covers are pending clear coat. I'm going to wait patiently for a couple days so they paint sets in then throwing 3-4 coats of high temp clear so it can last for a long time.


Now for the other little project. I'm done with the InTech cover. Went with a nice standard Cobra snake with the COBRA logo underneath. Then decided to do sometype of blue faded paint. Went with standard Ford blue underneath then dark blue faded over. Purposely left some areas lighter so it can stand out a bit. I thought about it & all dark blue just looks black & all standard Ford blue looks like I'm a ricer kid painting underhood plastics. lol :shifty:

Anyway, here you see "out with the old, in with the new"

Well, I just got the new LVC decals. Love the look. Wasn't sure if to put them on the lower corners of my rear & front windows or the 1/4 windows but in the end, the 1/4 windows won. SO I took a couple pictures for our amusement. Enjoy...

That fence reflection threw me for a second. Looked like a buffer job gone horribly wrong.

Here you go guys. I wanted to make a nicer video but I didn't. I've been swamped between work & vacationing with my family last week so I've been busy. I just uploaded a clip onto youtube briefly, added some audio & voila. Enjoy.

The pictures were taken the day I finished this small project. This was about 5-6 weeks ago prior to swapping the COP covers, InTech cover & add ons. The video however was taken 2 weeks ago after I had already done all those little goodies to the engine bay. :)

Another update guys! I went & got my COP covers polished! Beyond awesome. I was planning on putting the Cobrastarrs on the cop covers as pictured but decided against that.

SO I put one emblem on the InTech cover. I plan on repainting it so that I omit the small Cobra in the front & the small "COBRA" logo & replace it with a bigger "COBRA" logo.

Can you guys count the amount of damn Cobras in my engine bay? Way overboard. Making the change soon.

Next in line is having the valve covers powder coated!
 
A little overboard on the cobrastars and leds. I like the intech cover and oil cap though, valve covers turned out nice too (Minus the youknowwhats)!
