Can you tell me what is broke in this pic

working on misfire on cylinder #4 when i came across this problem heard a hissing so i pushed it to give it a seal and see if it does anything and the car ran fine after i sealed it but i dont know what it is i wanna replace it but dont know what the part is called i know it goes to the intake vaccum maybe?

same thing happened to me once, i replaced that end with the other end (the one on the manifold) and bought two different sizes of hose and built the one for the other end because i couldnt find that piece either

PCV hose connector. Purchased a replacement @ Ford dealer a month ago.

Like all the plastic under the hood (at least) on the LS, after about 8 years it is very brittle. When I changed out all the coolant system plastic parts last fall I also replaced all of those plastic emissions hoses after breaking one.
