What size radio?

[2002 LS V8]

I am looking to put in a new headunit in my 2002 LS but I'm not sure what will fit. Does the LS only fit 1 din units without heavy modification of the car? I really would like to put in a 2 din DVD player but all the sites say that it won't fit. Is there anyway to make them fit, again without heavy modification?

Well if you want dvd the easiest way is a single din faceplate with a flip up dvd player. or if you wanna put a little bit of effort into it you can cut out the slot for the double din since they don't make an aftermarket double din faceplate. Yea I really want to do the double din, I think it looks a lot nicer. I already own a single din unit, but I'm looking to replace it. (might be selling AVH-P6500DVD, PM if interested). Anyway, anyone with a 2000-20002 LS install the double din? How hard was the install and how does it look? I'm personally not good with my hands, but don't want something that looks cheap.
