    LS featured in "Avengers"

Just something interesting I found. Bottom left corner is a V8 ls without badging, I assume because of rights or something... Figured this was the only relevant place to post.

    Crankshaft Replacement - In Car!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into getting that metal housing. Does any company happen to make metal versions of the other plastic cooling parts?

    Crankshaft Replacement - In Car!

Risking getting laughed out of the forum here, I know... Anyways, just wanted to share my progress replacing my crank in-car, which is a pain in the rear end to do. Bear with me though, I'm a young guy without a lift and without money to burn so I decided to figure out *some way* to do this...

Ls cooling fan an p0012 an p0022 code

Your LS has the variable intake system. On my 04 V6 the same codes popped up. Your intake camshafts are not in time with what the computer is telling them to do. This can happen from bad oil control solenoids, low oil, dirty oil, slipped or jumped timing chains, or bad camshaft phasers. Mine is...

    Need Help ASAP

If it were me doing this job I'd approach it from the top and bottom as milehighmikey said, there's just not a whole lot of room for this kind of thing with the engine still in the car. However, if you're willing to remove your alternator and get the a/c compressor out of the way by...

Lincoln Ls Timing Chain Tensioner Swap

It's fine if you remove the chain. I did the same job, but I didn't need to use the cam locking tool, so it is definitely possible without the locking tool. You can partially remove the exhaust cam if the chain is still on (but ziptied to the sprocket) and slip the old tensioner out and the new...

98 Mark VIII sudden issues to a reliable stallion!!

I don't know a whole lot about the second issue you're having which seems like an electrical issue, but slow cranking sounds to me like a dead/dying battery. I would check the voltage of the original battery, but maybe try draining the power from the ECU?

2000 Lincoln LS 3.9 Connecting Rod Bearings

That's disappointing. Why Ford would take the time and money to engineer an engine bay as complicated as the first-gen LS and then label it not serviceable is beyond me. But I guess I understand the practical side of it, because man is this thing one tightly packed complicated machine.

2000 Lincoln LS 3.9 Connecting Rod Bearings

I'm looking on Terry's Jaguar parts for the bearings (some members here have recommended that site for parts) because I absolutely cannot find them anywhere else on the web. I've read some posts claiming the S-Type 4.0L is practically the same engine as the 3.9L, and that's pretty much what I'm...
