I am sick of putting this off and have a leaking caliper so I need to install my kin now. The ones I ordered from Maxx didnt show up with my other part today so eaither they were not shipped or UPS forgot to deliver them but they aint comming this weekend.
I will drive to almost anywhere to pick them up so I can do this damn thing. Hell if its someone from Dallas I may be able to bribe GMAN before he drives up tomorrow.

I hope someone out there can help. :(
Ive spent spent $60 so far for banjo bolts and still dont have any to install this kit.

I tell ya I am thinking of JB welding that biotch on there.

Problem solved, JB fixes everything.
Knew a guy in high school who was drilled into a water jacket. So he shoved some JB into the hole and let it dry and reassembled, never had an issue.

Arn't you close to Waco? Late Model Restoration shows to have them in stock and they are open until noon tomorow.

This is from LMR website:
"This is the Factory Ford replacement banjo bolt for 1994-1995-1996-1997-1998-1999-2000-2001-2002 Mustang GT, V6, & Cobra front brake calipers."

Bill, if you go there, check on wheel center caps. They may have what you are looking for.

Hell, let me know what kind of vehicles have these banjo bolts, and I'll go get some from the Pick-A-Part.
Mustang 94-02 Banjo Bolt, Front Caliper, V6/Gt/Bullitt/Cobra

Thanks but I want to do it this weekend and IDK if you could find a place open tomorrow. Sure would be nice to not spend yet another $45 on them. :(

Freakin brilliant! You is teh smart one there mang!

This :q:q:q:qing sux and is pissing me off to no end.

Went to LMR this morning and they only had one banjo bolt. Fine, ill take it cause never know right? Well I remember one thread I read where a guy said his fine thread banjo bolt was too long so I opened it up and sure enough it hit the back of the damn piston. I almost threw the :q:q:q:qing caliper through the windshield of a real 2000 Cobra R. None of the dealers have it eaither. The JY is closed and none of the parts stores have them. This just blows. :(

Im nuts, not stupid. :p

Yes and I also had both washers on it. Had almost 1/8" left and it started to push the piston.

tell shannon (owner) and johnny mac @ LRS that tom, tiff and corey said howdy!

tell em youre a soon to be member of crazy 8's racing

they will treat you right

I have spent over $5000 at LMR. They know me there and take good care of me all the time. Too bad they didnt have what I needed. :(

So here is the 411.
Bullit calipers need 10x1.0x26.5mm banjo bolts. The non OEM ones that they sell that work in GT applications are 10x1.0x31mm and hit the piston on the Bullitt calipers.
I have confirmed the OEM size with Maxx and two other Ford parts places managers.

I call Buy Ford Racing today... well first I emailed them as their number is not listed. Was a polite email saying I bought my calipers from them and I would like to buy the correct bolts as they are near impossiable to get. And I also said "I really wish there was a heads up on this problem in your listings.
" and that was it. Wasnt being rude, just was making a suggestion. Well in the mean time I got their number under a different name so I spoke to the dude there and right off the bat he was just... IDK, harsh?
He answered the phone "DIVERSIFIED PRODUCTS MARKETING." and I said I am sorry, I may have dialed the wrong number. Is this Buy Ford Racing? And he snaps back "Thats what our site is called!" OK, I explain the issue and he says they dont sell the bolts and that LMR sells them. I explain that they are 31mm long and I need stock 26.5mm ones. Again he snaps back "I have it in my hand and I measured it! Its 31mm" Which of course raised the question "I thought you didnt have them?" So he tells me they come with the brake lines and they are 31mm. I explain that my friend Maxx who runs the parts department at a large Ford dealer says they are 26.5mm and I believe him. To which Mr. Niceguy says "Hes wrong! He doesnt know what hes talking about!"
Fine, I had enough. That gave me the idea to go try and find some brake lines and see if they do come with them.... they dont. So I stopped at the Ford dealer by my work and ordered a set that will be here tomorrow. I didnt re-order from Maxx because if they happen to not work then its much easier to just walk in and get my cash back cause the little bastards were $50

So dont get Bullitt calipers. Spend the extra $40 and get the Cobra versions and you can re-use your old Banjo bolts.

Stop by a GM dealer and see if they have some for a C4 Corvette (1988-96 era.) I'm not sure if they are fine or coarse thread, but they use the same PBR calipers so it might be worth checking...

I'll check my mis. romeo treasure chest, i got all sorts of random ford nuts n bolts and other :q:q:q:q laying around the my dad collected over the years. No promises, but i do have all sorts of metric fine and coarse laying around.

Why can't u cut 5 mm off a bolt?

Also break down those measurments for me so in my morning stuper I know what the hell im looking for. I'll take my micometer, coffee, and cig and go out to the barn to look for bolts. Never been a bolt i couldnt find yet. My dad collected them like they were going out of style.

In the past, I've either ground 5mm off the end of the bolt, or used two copper washers under the banjo.

Interesting note: Ford OEM washers are twice the thickness of aftermarket ones. Didnt fit with the brake line washers but with some OEM ones and one extra aftermarket one it seems to work. Chances are good I will be installing these tonight. :D
